Vaida died before the album was finished and it was mixed to completion without him. This is the official 24-track version of the album from the band's Bandcamp page (including four instrumental "Drapirovka" interludes); a 2008 archived snapshot of the old "Chorny Ponedelnik" site documents an earlier, 21-track version with full session credits. Songwriting/vocals known from that earlier digitization: Vaida wrote and sang "Mashinnoye salo", "Dverka", "16-17", "Bal", "Oboi", "Uzhasny son" and "Chudishche"; Ryb wrote and sang "Vozdukh", "Nado", "Chto skazal Deadfly", "Chorny topoliny", "Chorny organ" and "Samy chorny". The album's title is explained in the band's biography: the word "Izoptitsa" only made sense once the next album came out, since the song "Eto iz-za ptits" ("It's Because of the Birds") no longer fit on this one. This is the official 18-track version of the album from the band's Bandcamp page (with Intro and Outro). Songwriting/vocals: Vaida wrote and sang "Solnyshko", "Brivibas Piemineklis", "Merry Gipus", "Pulyu pushchu", "Na pol Yane", "K nulyu", "Zdravstvuy, milaya devochka" and "Zelyonaya"; the rest (aside from Intro/Outro) is Ryb. The original cassette had one more Ryb track, "Kuda popal", not included on the official Bandcamp version. Digitized to MP3 320 kbps.

Genres: Post-punk

Tracks:

Intro (1:06)

Solnyshko (1:40)

Mai-maiskii zhuk (1:34)

Brivibas piemineklis (2:44)

Loko-Tkomk Loko-tku (3:27)

Merri Gipus (2:57)

Na kontse (3:23)

Puliu pushchu (2:05)

Pro pribor (2:26)

Na pol Iane (2:52)

Malchik i ptitsa (3:27)

K nuliu (2:41)

Bella Grudka (4:43)

Zdravstvui, milaia devochka (2:39)

Koni, koni na debila (2:29)

Zelenaia (1:13)

Lun' (1:24)

Outro (0:51)

→ Listen online

Track 02 is missing from this digitization and its original title is unknown; it is omitted here rather than invented. A few tracks carried a different title in the original digitized filenames than in their embedded ID3 tags (recorded here as alternateName) - most notably track 14, whose original filename used uncensored language ("Khochetsya skazat Blyat!") where the ID3 tag was softened to "Khochetsya skazat".

The album captures the uninhibited spirit of early-2000s Dvinsk underground culture: a high-octane blend of punk drive, spirited accordion, brass, and turntablist scratching. Alongside satirical punk re-imaginings of pop and folk standards (including Ukrainian folk tune 'Ty zh mene pidmanula', 'Marquise', and A-ha's synth-pop anthem 'Take On Me'), the record includes the band's beloved original anthems: 'Kosmodrom', 'Dunula', 'Ostav telefon', and 'Son'.

Recording lineup:
Vantuz — lead vocals
Goblin — guitar
Chuven — 2nd guitar
Konstantīns Dzedzelis (Dzedzel) — bass guitar
Stas — accordion, trumpet, scratches
Oleg Samsonov — drums

Genres: rock, ska-punk

Tracks:

She's got to look (5:08)

Kosmodrom (5:33)

Take on me (4:12)

Dunula (3:53)

Ostav' telefon (3:23)

Ty zh mene pidmanula (3:59)

Prekrasnaia markiza (3:55)

Pugovitsy v riad (4:17)

Son (3:15)

→ Listen online

Tracks recovered via the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) from the band's page on zanoza.lv, where they are labeled "music of the 2003-2004 period" with the lineup: Albina P. The track "Instrumental" was listed on the same page, but its mp3 file was never actually captured by the web.archive.org crawler - considered lost. The "Summertime" file itself is damaged/truncated in the archive: both preserved crawl snapshots (January and March 2007) contain the identical but cut-off file - only about 7 seconds of audio actually decode, even though the ID3 header claims a 2:46 duration.

Genres: Pop-Rock, Funk, Indie Rock

Tracks:

Suddenly (3:34)

Tvar' (4:33)

Summertime (0:07)

Bluzzz (4:15)

New History (3:17)

Instrumental

Zamtaria (2:53)

→ Listen online

Unlike the band's earlier punk records, 'Fon' consists of eleven untitled, numbered fragments ('Fon 1' through 'Fon 11') built from background noise and ambient textures, with some of them set to recited poetry - including poems by Boris Savinkov (tracks 'Fon 3' and 'Fon 7') and a text by Artur Petrov (Budulai) himself (track 'Fon 8'). Most of the music and lyrics were written by Budulai; two songs ('Kotoryi zval sebia ia' and 'Radost') set to poems by Boris Savinkov, an early-20th-century Socialist-Revolutionary militant and writer, and one ('Vozmezdie') to a poem by the poet Ramires. Gridas wrote both music and lyrics for 'Foto' and the music for 'Papka'. Guest musicians on the record included A. Lebedeva (vocals), Kuzya (bass, guitar solo), Varik (bass), and Emelya (flute, keyboards); the final track's arrangement and the whole album's mastering were done by RHY. The cover combines a photograph by A. Lebedeva with design work by the studio 'Postupatelnye Dvizheniya' and the artist Pavel Brat.

Genres: punk rock

Tracks:

Dies Irae -- Detishki zakhvatili boing (1:38)

Vozmezdie (4:53)

Marsh 1 (4:12)

Kotoryi zval sebia Ia (6:07)

Osoznanie (6:17)

Papka (3:30)

Foto (2:45)

Vechnost' (5:08)

Radost' (2:38)

Marsh 2 (5:36)

→ Listen online

As a once-famous Soyuzmultfilm cartoon character put it: "You can't get famous doing good deeds." If one draws an analogy between this catchphrase and today's extreme music scene, the picture is roughly this: virtuosic technique no longer surprises anyone or hits close to home, excessive brutality as a tool of persuasion is rapidly losing its punch, causing aesthetic indigestion in the ever-growing ranks of "positivity seekers," and the ambiguity and deep ideological substance of lyrics demanding an ability to read between the lines has become almost a horrifying anachronism of the age of highbrow art. We therefore needed far more potent methods of dealing with the contemporary audience. And so, through our collective efforts, "Svinktr" was conceived: a long-range shit-flinging artillery piece, sowing scandals, moral mayhem, and shock value. It was engineered to unleash torrents of liquid feces upon a populace brainwashed by mass-outbreaks of material paranoia and herd culture. Like snake venom used as an antidote—one pile of shit countering another. Someone once described our music: "By the rabble, for the rabble." A bullseye, considering that the ultimate goal of our creations is precisely to provoke those base instincts in whoever lands in the crosshairs of our shit-launcher. Why "Svinktr"? The original idea of naming the band "sphincter" (the circular muscle in the human anal canal whose relaxation releases fecal matter) was discarded due to the ubiquity of the medical term and the urge to seize on something more original. So we decided to inject a dose of swinishness ("svin"), giving birth to "svinktr"—a simple play on words (and muscles along with them). Why thrash? In English the word is a homophone: "thrash" refers to fast-tempo metal, while "trash" translates directly as garbage. We killed two birds with one stone: our launcher fires at high velocity, and trash is everything clogging the consciousness of today's philistine, which must be blown out of their skull by bursts of caustic diarrhea. And why porno? In part, the personal fondness of the author of these lines for this art form. But the rampant spread of permissive sexuality also played a decisive role: reality TV shows urging the youth to spend idle hours indulging in uninhibited flings and polluting the environment with endless latex refuse. No, we are no moralists—we are ordinary pranksters who love to rile up and entertain a crowd, bringing them to the right temperature while mercilessly ridiculing the sacred cows of our sick society. We hope these four savory audio-turds bring you plenty of pleasant moments and expose before your eyes the utter vanity of the idols ruling all around. Bon appétit!

Having evolved from raw punk rock in 1996 ('Tranquilizer') through doom and symphonic black metal, the group by 2002 forged its signature sound: monumental instrumental sympho-metal blending heavy, intricate guitar riffs, layered keyboards, and classical live strings (violin and viola). Following victories at Chemical Reaction 2001 (1st place), reaching the grand finals of the legendary Liepājas Dzintars 2002 (where Vadim Vetrin won the Best Drummer of Latvia award), performing alongside celebrated singer Ieva Akuratere at the Bildes festival in the Riga Congress House, and winning 1st place at Sinepes un Medus 2003 with prize recording sessions at SSS Studio in Sigulda, Disease channeled their decade of mastery into 'I Stay Here'.

Recording lineup:
Pavel Stepanov (Piton) — guitars, composition, sound engineering
Vadim Vetrin — drums
Roman Maksimov — bass guitar
Timur Ozun — violin
Viktor Stankevich — viola

Genres: instrumental sympho-metal

Tracks:

Brothers (3:18)

Vihtur's Intension (3:05)

March (3:20)

Sunlight (3:14)

Intro (1:47)

Abandoned By Life (4:51)

I Stay Here (3:00)

Dead Young (2:22)

Decision (4:04)

At The Down (4:23)

Row (2:14)

→ Listen online

The band's second album, 'Reznia' ('Massacre'), recorded in the summer of 2002, reached a noticeably higher musical plane. A performance marking the November 7th holiday was covered in an extensive spread in the national daily newspaper 'Chas'. The group began receiving invitations to tour abroad, including in the Lithuanian town of Visaginas. The year 2002 was also marked by Artur Petrov issuing a public newspaper challenge on August 27 to a duel against Aivars Garda, the publisher and editor of the ultranationalist newspaper DDD, for insulting the Russian people. Garda declined the challenge.

Then arrived the central event in the band's history: on November 20, 2002, Artur Petrov was arrested by the Security Police of Latvia on charges of illegal storage of TNT, incitement to overthrow the constitutional order (even their debut album 'Ne ssy!' was entered into evidence by prosecutors), and plotting an assassination attempt against the President of Latvia. The presidential accusation fell apart immediately; the remaining charges took eighteen months to resolve, seven months of which were spent in Riga Central Prison. During this period the band attained legendary underground status, with two songs broadcast on the Russian television network RTR in a documentary on radical leftists. Despite strict post-release police supervision for a year (daily check-ins at the local precinct and an 8 PM to 10 AM home curfew), once Budulai was released the band resumed performances at rock concerts and launched an official website (www.viselica.lenin.ru), making their entire catalog freely accessible.

Genres: punk rock

Tracks:

Reznia (2:37)

Ne ssy!

The backstory to the band's founding was the meeting of Artur Petrov (Budulai) and Alexander Gridasov (Gridas), both living in Daugavpils. Even before meeting in person, they had heard of each other and of the similarity of their outlooks. Before founding the band, Budulai was a novice solo musician playing covers of other bands at punk gatherings. Gridas played in the punk band Nevrasteniya. They met after Budulai visited a Nevrasteniya rehearsal. During one rehearsal, after complaints from the vocalist about Gridas's playing, Gridas told everyone off and quit the group. For some time they tried to convince Gridas to return, but it was already too late: having met, Budulai and Gridas resolved firmly to play the music of rebellion. Around that same time Budulai made his first onstage appearance, singing Grazhdanskaya Oborona's 'Lyuber' with Glazki Stekolshchika in June 1999. This event finally inspired Budulai and Gridas, and despite having no rehearsal space, their own songs began to emerge.

In the summer of 1999 they recorded the song 'Bey burzhuev' ('Beat the Bourgeois') in an apartment. The band was invited to perform at a rock concert on February 18, 2000, at the Center of Latvian Culture (CLK). The concert was a success. Right before the show they came up with a name, and thus 'Viselica' ('Gallows') was born.

Roles in the band: Budulai on lead vocals and guitar; Gridas on bass and backing vocals. Throughout the band's history they never had a permanent drummer of their own; drummers from other groups sat behind the kit. Viselica's sound was influenced by Grazhdanskaya Oborona and The Exploited alike: heavy punk rock with radical lyrics. In 2000 Viselica was invited to open for Egor Letov himself. Letov was denied entry into Latvia, which sparked an impromptu outdoor street concert by Viselica in the midst of a punk crowd that culminated in widespread riots. This cemented Viselica's underground fame and reputation as uncompromising nihilists.

The group went on to play several gigs across Dvinsk and Riga, usually ending with cut cables, expulsions from the stage, brawls, and other scandals. One gig even ended in municipal court after an American flag was torn up on stage. Alongside live shows, the band began recording albums. Their debut album, 'Ne ssy!' ('Don't Chick Out!'), was recorded live at the rehearsal studio of the metal band Disease in late 2000.

Genres: punk rock

Tracks:

Viselitsa (1:59)

I vnov' prodolzhaetsia boi (3:35)

Bei burzhuev!
